Creature Workshops - Creature Textuing in Mari

Hi everyone!

I'm happy to announce that attendees of my Workshop Creature Texturing in Mari will be able to extend their Mari trial from 1 to 3 months! If you haven't tried the software yet and want to find a way to learn it and extend your surfacing knowledge, I will be pleased to welcome you to the course.

Registrations for session 1 are now completed. The session is full and will start from Monday morning next week. Attendees have already received their onboarding pack and will soon be able to dive into the software with me!

The workshop is already scheduled for a second session that will happen VERY SOON! From the 30th of October to the 3rd of November, I will welcome a new batch of Artists. Each day will run from 15:00 to 18:30 and from 20:00 to 21:30, UK time zone. Seats are being booked very quickly, so make sure to register your interest ASAP.

Here's a quick recap of the content of the course:

- Kickstart the session with a brief introduction to Mari and the Nodegraph.
- Learn more about the Microfacet Theory and how to set up Mari's viewport for an in-depth texturing experience.
- During the course, I'll introduce you to @TexturingXYZ displacement maps and how to project them.
- Explore the world of ISO / Region masks and learn how they can help you develop realistic color maps and achieve great and consistent material work through departments.
- Learn how to build procedural Albedo / Diffuse maps, and develop Mari templates to speed up most organic texturing projects.
- Learn how to build secondary maps, to further develop the realistic look of your Creature and give you the best tool for Look Dev.
- Between modeling, texturing, and shading, you'll be introduced to how to go back and forth between these different specialties of Asset Authoring.
- An asset will be provided to you (Xolo Dog). However, you'll be free to bring your own model provided that it has been approved beforehand.
- A Discord-dedicated channel will be set up exclusively for the Artists enrolled.
- Streaming access to the recordings of each session during the 20 days following the class.
